History

The Christian and Missionary Alliance is a Corporation that has been founded on Protestant principles, and since its very beginning (more than 100 years ago) has been wide spreading their beliefs in every corner of the globe in which it is present.
One of the main points they are focused in is the social work, concerning about people affected by poverty and giving them a complete attention and care, from nuclear families to whole communities.
This is why the C&MA, on January 7th 1969, founded a mixed home in Loncoche. Time after, the home was split into two new homes, and on December 26th 1976, the Hogar de Niñas “La Granja” was created.
The home is located in La Pintana, and nowadays shelters 73 girls whose ages go from 2 to 18, all of them in social risk and that have been sent by a competent Court for simple protection since their rights have been violated. Because all of that, it is our duty to work toward their welfare giving them professional help, always helped by our Lord and His words. With all of this, we can make their lives a little better, according to what God has commanded us to do: Love your neighbour as yourself.
